Unpaused ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our website and career studio product at unpaused.ai.
What we collect
When you use Unpaused, we collect:
- Account information — your name and email address when you create an account, or your Google profile information if you sign in with Google (name, email, profile photo)
- Intake answers — the responses you provide during the career intake questionnaire, including your career history, skills, goals, and personal reflections
- Generated documents — the career documents and tool outputs we create for you based on your intake answers
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number.
- Usage data — which pages you visit and features you use, stored in your browser's local storage
How we use your information
- To generate personalized career documents and tools based on your specific story
- To save your progress so you can return and pick up where you left off
- To process your payment securely through Stripe
- To improve our product and the quality of our AI-generated outputs
- To send you your results and account-related communications
How we protect your information
Your intake answers and generated documents are deeply personal. We treat them that way.
- Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
- Authentication is handled by Supabase with industry-standard security practices
- Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe — we never access your card details
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes
- Your intake answers are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI for document generation — Anthropic does not use this data to train their models
Data storage
Your intake progress is stored in your browser's local storage. Your account data and generated documents are stored securely in our database (Supabase). You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase — authentication and data storage
- Stripe — payment processing
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI document generation
- Netlify — website hosting
- Google — OAuth sign-in (if you choose to sign in with Google)
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage and session storage to save your intake progress, preferences, and authentication state. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics tools.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export your generated documents at any time (copy or PDF)
Children's privacy
Unpaused is designed for adults returning to the workforce. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
